Hello visitors to PetGroomer.com. Aren't we lucky to live in a time when there are so many choices in regular and "natural" products we use to care for our pets? It was not that long ago when I had to steep an herbal solution and pour boiling water over thinly-sliced lemons to make my own flea-shampoo. More recently, I have had my work cut out for me to choose between the numerous natural flea control products now available. For the past 20 years I have been on a quest for the best in natural pet care. At times my search has been riddled with compromise. Even the most seemingly "natural" products are sometimes processed, preserved, diluted and dehydrated and that opens the question to how "natural" is natural. Perhaps the only way you can truly make a "natural" shampoo for your pet is to collect the plants yourself from a natural environment, and where they were not treated by chemicals during the growing process. After the harvest you would have to process them while fresh and then use the shampoo almost immediately in order to avoid spoilage. Now consider the complexity of the task if you were to make a wholesome natural pet food from scratch, start to finish!
