COAT & GROOM TIPS

The Shiba Inu's coat is somewhat soft, thick and plush to the touch. It has a double coat, with a strong, straight outer coat and a soft, dense undercoat.

To prevent water from entering ears be sure to place cotton balls in the ears.

Brush the coat first to remove undercoat and any mats. Bathe.

MORE GROOMING TIPS FOR PROFESSIONALS

As part of the dog's final groom use a light mist of coat conditioner.

Multi-Breed Books

These books contain little or no breed specific grooming information. They do provide very good to excellent general breed information. Of course, having pictures of the breed is a great help when grooming the breed compared to having nothing else.
