COAT & GROOM TIPS

The coat is double coat with a soft and woolly undercoat and the outer coat is plentiful and fine. The coat may be straight or wavy. The long coat should not hang to the ground. The coat of puppies is shorter, single and often has a softer texture than that of adults. A natural part is often present over the neck and back.

Don't overly scrub the haircoat during the bath to protect its soft nature, and allow the shampoo instead to dissolve dirt and grime.

MORE GROOMING TIPS FOR PROFESSIONALS

Be sure to fluff-dry with a slicker brush. Neaten the appearance only removing stray hairs. You may want to shave the stomach with a #10 blade. Part the hair along neck and back with a final comb touch-up.

Multi-Breed Books

These books contain little or no breed specific grooming information. They do provide very good to excellent general breed information. Of course, having pictures of the breed is a great help when grooming the breed compared to having nothing else.
