Grooming Industry Associations

Click links below or choose another guide dog in the left column.

Today a growing number of groomers are joining various grooming associations. Some are national and many are regional. However, there's a long way to go before most groomers are a member of at least one. We recommend becoming involved in your industry, and that means taking an active role in its associations. The professional reputation of the industry can only be lifted to ever higher standards by its members working together.

Some of the associations provide grooming seminars and testing which can lead to your being "certified" by them in one or more aspects of professional styling or animal care. Certification is voluntary and we salute those groomers that have taken the time and interest to help uplift the professional reputation of the industry with their certification.
