Training Programs

Click links below or choose another guide dog in the left column.

This guide provides sources of grooming training outside of schools, home study and independent business owners providing apprenticeship grooming training. There are separate guides here (see left column) for home study and grooming schools.

More and more corporate employers, franchisors and manufacturers are providing grooming training programs. It's a relatively new development for the industry that began in the 1990's and it might be right for you and your career goals. We keep a rare list of these opportunities. Also keep in mind that some businesses that appear almost as if they are a school of grooming, but are not required to be "state licensed" (in the U.S.) and choose not to be licensed are usually required to call their operation a "training center."
