Since 1998 PetGroomer.com has hosted one of the most popular message board forums dedicated to topics surrounding the pet grooming industry. In subsequent years we expanded with a Chat Room and recently GroomerTALK Talk Radio. You are strongly encouraged to participate either as silent listener or an active participant. In January 2007 we premiered an entirely new message board that we believe sets a new standard of communication between groomers and long-term information storage.

Too many groomers never take the time to form working relationships with other groomers in their area; in fact the competitive spirit can simply be taken too far and some local groomers never engage other members of their industry. It's most unfortunate. Every groomer has knowledge that others would enjoy sharing, and every groomer can learn from other groomers.

GroomerTALK™ is about breaking down the limitations that stop the members of the industry from becoming wiser, unified and in charge of the future of their profession. Our meeting spaces are moderated. This means that we review messages on our forums before they are released to public view. Yes we have some disagreements but spamming and overly aggressive behavior is stopped. It's not perfect. However, many members tell us that GroomerTALK™ gives them the most confidence they won't be maligned and consistently provides the most helpful and informative information. We understand some groomers enjoy heated debate and that's OK with us. There are other meeting places outside of ours for that arena. Here, we focus on professional attributes finding a way to co-exist even in disagreements handled in a more respectable manner worthy of being recognized as "professionals."

Registration Requirements

You only have to register to actively participate in the message forums and chat. Active means to post written messages replying to others or creating a new topical message. About 3,000 groomers and career seekers visit our forums daily year round. Many never register and simply read the conversations. We welcome everyone to do so without registration. However, we strongly encourage beginners and advanced groomers alike to join in. Share what you know about grooming, ask what you don't know. Cool.

We assure you that our core members want to hear from you in a spirit of camaraderie. Please give it a try. Trust us. You are likely to make some good friends. In fact over the years many members now meet in person at trade shows and seminars, or to enjoy meals and friendship. What a delightful change from the past for most groomers. Break the old stereotypical molds keeping groomers from being closer as professionals even in the same locale, and avoid competitiveness and grow together into ever more skilled pet professionals. It's the future and the Internet birthed that miracle and we're keeping it alive and spreading, and you can help.

GroomerTALK™ Talk Radio does not require registration. We record most Talk Radio shows privately in Winter and Spring and archive them. You come here and click links to listen to the pre-recordings at your convenience. You don't need to worry about being near a radio at a specific time. The archive is available 24/7 year round. If you are expert in some area of the grooming or pet industry we encourage you to consider being a guest on our show. Our shows have been listened to over 100,000 times since 2005.

Your Privacy is Valued

We never sell or share your registration information with anyone. In fact we have never done so since GroomerTALK started in 1998. Further, we never use our registration records to sell our products and services to you. On rare occasions you may receive an email announcement regarding a significant event at GroomerTALK™. Registration simply enables us to maintain the integrity of the content of GroomerTALK as best possible.

Yes you can win prizes at the GroomerTALK™ Message Board. In 2006 over $2,500 worth of grooming products and supplies were awarded to registered members meeting eligibility requirements.
