When shaving the face & feet on poodles, especially those with sensitive skin. Wash the dog first, then while they are still wet, shave there face and feet. A #10 against the hair growth will result in a nice clean face with no irritation/redness. A #30 in the feet will give you nice clean feet without irritation and also clips down faster as you can see where you blade is cutting. Done properly there is no need to re-clip when dry. This St. Poodle has been reverse clipped with a 10 on the face while wet. Previous dry clips have always resulted in pinking of the skin and mild irritation. When clipped we there was absolutely no irritation or redness to be found.
