Long Haired Cats Use an undercoat rake for long-haired cats. It pulls most amount of undercoat in the shortest amount of time possible. Always rake before the bath and the loose hair will collect if using a thick remoisturizing type conditioner, rinse slightly, then shampoo the cat, this will keep the heavy conditioner from weighting down a coat that tends to get more oils after the bath. By removing the excess undercoat the cat will dry much quicker and fluffier when finished with a slicker and comb. Tina Ballance |
