"Cola" This is Cola the Poodle. She had not had a haircut in over 9 months according to the owner. This was my first time to groom her and she was a little angel, until the time came to clean the ears. She was matted all over and had had puppies 7 weeks before this grooming. She was in really nasty condition. She had a few sores on her from her fur being so matted. The owner had started to groom Cola but realized that the real cheap clippers don't work. She even cut some her top knot so I did the best I could with what was left. I ended up using a #7 blade on her. She was so bad around her eyes and sore because of the tearing. I had to very gently cut and pull the crusty stuff from under her eyes. I have been grooming for over a year now out of my home. I got into dog grooming because I also had a Poodle breeding business and I didn't want to have to pay someone else to groom all of our Poodles. I got my degree in dog grooming and a way I went. I have done quite a few dogs that people just don't even seem to care about all they see is the money that they are spending on the grooming. If they were to bring the dog back every 6 to 8 weeks it would be cheaper in the long run, but regardless I love my career decision and I love animals. Groomer: Rhonda Sue McGee |
