"Scruffy"

It was just another work day. I work from home as I take care of my mom with Alzheimers. I work on Thursday nights. A gentleman called and asked if I could get his poodle Scruffy in soon because he needed a haircut. He did not describe the condition Scruffy was in. I told him Thursday nights were a busy time for me but if he brought him in I would work him in. When he walked in the door I almost died. I wondered if I could even get him done. He smelled horrible too. I told him I would call when he was done. I worked and worked on that dog. He was so pitiful. When I was done I was so happy with how he looked. I called the man and told him I had a new dog for him. He came in, paid his $45 and never even said how good he looked or a offered a tip or anything. But we were happy for the dog and proud of what we did for him. If anyone needed a haircut that month it was him. We were glad to help him feel better. Thank you for reading this.
