Chewy came into the groom shop at 4 p.m., my last appointment. I couldn't believe how smelly and matted she was. I didn't want to try to tackle all those matts. Even though her owner pretty much puts her in the backyard and every now and then takes her out for grooming, Chewy was the sweetest dog I groomed the entire week. She did not complain or give me a hard time for anything. Chewy hung her head as if she knew how terrible she looked and because of this I only thought of making her look better and comfortable. I've noticed that when I groom for the dog's welfare I do a better job. I know we groom for many reasons but it's good to get a Chewy every now and then to remind us that we're doing this for them, our best friends!
