Danny was 2 years old when he came to me. He had never been groomed. His owner fell ill shortly after taking him in and could not keep up with the grooming. A friend told me of Danny's situation, and feeling sorry for him, I volunteered to clean him up. He was matted from his nose to his tail. Danny had thick mats in his ear canals, and smelled of urine and feces. It took me over an hour just to get through his head ears and neck. The area around his missing eye still had dried blood underneath the hair, and the stitches had never been removed from the surgery. Throughout the long process Danny was the sweetest, most patient dog there could be.
