This is Scruffy, a grubby little Poodle pup. He's about 7 or 8 months old and was in desperate need of a grooming. His owners were keeping him in the backyard, because "he likes it out there." When he came in he was gray with filth and heavily infested with fleas. I had to bathe him before I could trim him because as soon as I ran a clipper over his face the fleas were running everywhere! There were hundreds! As I bathed him the water was running gray with dirt and red with flea droppings. After he was clean and fleas taken care of I dried him and he had changed color! No longer gray, but apricot! He was excellent for his hair cut, sweet and well behaved. He cleaned up really nicely! It's a shame he will probably go straight back into the back yard and back to his fleas. I hope not, hopefully his owners will do better from now on!
