McKenzie is a 7 1/2 year old Samoyed. She came in on 11/10/07 to get a much needed pampering. It had been nearly 2 years since her last groom. When I first saw her I felt so bad for her, she was overweight, full of undercoat and matts, and her rear end was so badly matted, it seemed as if she were not able to go potty. I got her on the table and started shaving her rear as the owner had requested I do so. It smelled so bad, not sure how the owner could let her go like this. She decided to go potty on the table after cleaning her rear end up, probably because she had trouble before I had removed the hair. I then decided to put a mask on and try to blow out as much of her coat as possible before bathing her. I cut her nails that were very, very long and put her in the tub. She needed 3 bathes and also had fleas. Then I got her out of the tub and force dried her and brushed her and trimmed up her feet. After about 3 hours of grooming, I could tell she was thankful for the grooming and she was a perfect lady for the whole experience. I look forward to seeing her again hopefully before 2 years.
