Riley

Hi, my name is Rena Hardman. I graduated from one of the best schools in the world, The Paragon School of Pet Grooming. I will be taking my CMG exams this year with the IPG. I work at Best for Breeds in Romeo, Michigan. This is where I met Riley. Riley is a Poodle-Bichon. Riley went missing for several months. When he was found, he went for a quick checkup at his veterinarian and then visited us. He wasn’t ill and had no parasites. Instead of the usual strip-down most groomers perform, I gave Riley a good shampooing. I dried his hair with my K9II dryer, using the reducer cone, which separated the matted hair and lifted it away from Riley’s skin. I didn’t have to brush him out, thereby avoiding brush burn. After Riley was completely dry, I was able to get a 3 blade under the clean dry matted hair. I was not able to save his feet; so, Riley being a poodle, I gave him poodle feet. When it came to his face, the mats were too severe. I decided to give him the clean face look, but with a goatee to keep him macho. His ears were too matted and most of his ear hair was missing; so, I just neatened up his ears. Riley was a completely different boy, his owner couldn’t believe the transformation.
