Pam Julian's Inverter With the suggestions from Doug, here is my 5000Wt Inverter, and the 80amp Charger installed in the power closet (which in another life was the wardrobe). The Battery box holds 8 -6volt deep cell Trojan (golf cart) batteries. The box was constructed of 1/2 inch plywood then lined with acid-tank fiberglass. The box is 14"H, 12"W and 65 " long. We located it just behind the driver and passenger seats, which serves a dual purpose, as the base for our barrier wall to the front cab. The box in this location is centered for weight side to side and between the front and rear axels. The batteries will be vented under the rig.
