Grooming School produces award-winning students.
July 8-10, 2001. Anaheim Convention Center. Hosted by the
largest pet industry trade show on the West Coast, WWPSA. The
trade show is only open to pet industry professionals. It features
educational seminars, demonstrations, certification testing, pet
product manufacturers and distributors, and grooming contests.
Several grooming schools were represented as students participated
in the "Oster Career Start Grooming Competition." with a
total of 17 competitors.
Hacienda La Puente Adult Education Grooming Schools students

Instructor Donna Owens was very proud of all her students.
Exhibiting at the trade show is hard work. Not only did they have
to setup a booth, in order to compete teacher aid, Angie Guerra
and Donna had to pickup, transport and house the dogs used in the
competition from various kennels. Students not competing did a
wonderful job of manning the booth and lending a helping hand. The
President and Officers of the Southern California Groomers Assn.
were very impressed and praised both the booth and the
professional students. On Tuesday of the show all the trophies
were displayed at the booth and it gave everyone a great sense of
pride. Many pet professionals visited the booth and gave their
congratulations. |
