Hacienda La Puente Grooming School is a LOW COST adult vocational training program within an Equal Opportunity Unified School District. We offer a full curriculum-grooming program approved by the State of California Board of Education and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Established since 1968, Hacienda Lu Puente Grooming School has provided unique student-centered learning opportunities and support services that enable individuals to achieve their goals.

Many of our graduates have been single parents, rehabilitated adults, as well as person needing a positive career change. We are very proud to have produced some of the top Dog Grooming Stylists in the Southern California area as well as successful Grooming Salon and Mobile Grooming Van owner/operators.

Individualized instruction is utilized to enable students to enter the program at any time of the year without missing integral segments of the program, to progress at their own pace, to attend according to individual schedules and to complete throughout the school year.

Upon completion of the course students will have the necessary theory, skills and understanding of canine and feline anatomy, terminology and general base of knowledge to properly groom various breeds of dogs and cats. As well as an introduction to advanced clipping and scissoring techniques, students will have the necessary skills for gainful employment in the pet industry.

Students who successfully complete either the 624 hour Gold Certificate or the 1,000 hour Gold Certificate Seal are eligible to apply for the W.W.P.S.A. Certified Animal Hygienist Examination.
