Today most groomers appreciate a lightweight cordless. Though their strength is growing, corded clippers are going to be needed for heavy coat clipping. Don't forget that you should have at least 2 blades of popular sizes, even 3 of the most used sizes.

When you send blades out to your sharpener you are forced to use backups, but of course you have to own backups first.
