Groomers love to talk about clippers and blades.
Many new groomers look to only purchase one pair
of clippers and guess what. The minimum is usually
two for a professional.
Today most groomers appreciate a lightweight
cordless. Though their strength is growing, corded
clippers are going to be needed for heavy coat
clipping. Don't forget that you should have at
least 2 blades of popular sizes, even 3 of the
most used sizes.
When you send blades out to your sharpener you are
forced to use backups, but of course you have to
own backups first. We've listed many of the most
popular sizes of blades but you can enter others,
and you don't need all of the sizes listed.
Personal preference plays a large role in the
manufacturer names you choose. However, we suggest
you review the many discussions of clippers and
blades on our GroomerTALK Message Board and join
in.

Let's get started. Refer to your selected
Planner
and find the Clipper and Blades and Clipper Care sections. Notice how you can organize
your shopping by filling in supplier
names, product brand names and models, and the number of
units you intend to purchase and their unit price. It's
that easy. You're
organized! Well done.
Use the resources below to select your
clipper and blade products. Manufacturers are listed.
Some
manufacturers sell direct to groomers, some don't and
instead provide you with contact info for authorized
distributors. Most online and mail order catalog suppliers
are distributors representing a broad selection of
manufacturers. You need to investigate and we provide
links to popular suppliers below (see Easy 1 Clicks).
We emphasize links for sponsors of
PetGroomer.com. However, pet grooming industry vendors
can list free in our Yellow Pages and get free basic listings
here. Our Yellow Pages has over 300 listings already. Expect more
listings in the future because the word is
spreading about Outfit a Grooming Business! Finally, you
can also do Google searches in the search box at
the bottom of this control panel.
