Many times we are asked how much a groomer can expect to earn. The earning potential of a Professional Dog Groomer is limited only by themselves. It can be a very lucrative business! Many salon owners are easily making well into 6 figure incomes. It depends on how you decide to operate your business. At our school we offer management classes which teach you how to maximize you income whether you are working for someone else, or starting your own business. Groomers are usually paid one of two ways: commission and salary and sometimes both. The average percentage for a groomer on commission is 50% - 60%. An average price for any breed of dog is $40-$50. Salaries vary the country based on cost of living and individual groomer’s skill and speed. From our experience we have seen salaries from $400-$1000 a week. As a salon owner you can earn much more than the above figures depending on how many employees you choose to hire and how large you choose to grow your business.

The sky's the limit! Come to our website and learn more about our school programs.
